CTET February 2026: Eligibility Details

Exam Level Eligibility Criteria
CTET Primary Level (Class 1 to 5)
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
  • Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
CTET Junior Level (Class 6 to 8)
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • At least 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE Norms.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
