Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 Notification

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for CTET September 2026 Examination. Interested candidates can apply online from 11 May 2026 to 10 June 2026.

Candidates should read the official CTET brochure carefully before applying. Fill in the required details, upload documents, select exam city/language, and pay the application fee.

Eligibility Details

Primary Level (Class 1 to 5)

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4-year B.El.Ed. OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. degree (with mandatory 6-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within 2 years of appointment) OR
• Post-Graduation with minimum 55% marks and passed/appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Junior Level (Class 6 to 8)

• Graduation and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed/appearing in B.Ed. OR
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed. as per NCTE norms OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4-year B.El.Ed/B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR
• Post-Graduation with minimum 55% marks and passed/appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

• Visit the official CTET application portal.
• Register and complete the form before the deadline.
• Read the full notification before filling the application form.
• Keep scanned copies of photograph, signature, and ID proof ready.
• Preview the application form before submission.
• Take a printout of the final submitted form for future reference.
