IIT GATE 2026 Exam: Short Details of Notification

GATE 2026: Important Instructions

• Photo Instruction: A recent, good-quality passport-size color photograph with a white background is required. The face should occupy at least 75% of the photograph.
• Signature Instruction: Sign with a black or blue pen in a running hand within a 2 cm x 7 cm rectangular box on A4 size paper.
• Thumb Impression Instruction: Mark your left thumb impression within a 3 cm x 5 cm rectangular box on A4 size paper.

• Passed or currently appearing in B.E / B.Tech / B.Pharm / B.Arch / B.Sc. Research / B.S. M.Sc. / MA / MCA / M.E. / M.Tech / Dual Degree / Integrated Courses.

How to Fill GATE 2026 Online Form

• IIT Guwahati has issued the notification for GATE 2026. Candidates can apply online from 28 August 2025 to 26 September 2025.
• Candidates must read the notification carefully before applying.
• Ensure you have all necessary documents: Handwriting sample, Eligibility proof, ID Proof, Address details, etc.
• Prepare scanned copies of required documents: Photo, Signature, ID, Thumb Impression, etc.
• Before submitting the application, review the form preview and all columns carefully.
• If an application fee is required, it must be paid for the form to be considered complete.
