Short Description: The National Testing Agency (NTA) invites online applications for the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) for the December 2025 session. This exam determines eligibility for 'Assistant Professor' and 'Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor' in Indian universities and colleges. Interested candidates can apply online from 07 October 2025 to 07 November 2025.

Application Fees

Candidates can pay the examination fee through online modes (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking).
Age Limit (as on 01/12/2025)
- For JRF: Maximum 30 Years.
- For NET (Assistant Professor): No Age Limit.
- Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules. Please read the official notification for details.
Eligibility Details
- Candidates must have Passed or be Appearing in a Master's Degree program in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
- Candidates with a 4-Year Bachelor's Degree are also eligible to apply.
